When you’re faced with a full desk, a long to-do list and a full inbox of new emails – it can be hard to know where to start. Wouldn’t it be amazing if there was something that could make all that disappear?

Well, there isn’t. Sorry about that 🤭

But… There are some amazing tools we use to help make everything just that little bit simpler throughout our days. Every little helps, as Tesco love to routinely remind us.

We have collated five things you can start using right now that will improve workflow and keep that to-do list looking more manageable. Plus, they come with the Freestyle seal of approval.

Text Expander

Probably our number one time-saver. Put simply, you can use shortcuts (i.e. =email) to paste in pre-written blocks of text. This could be contact details, email replies or website logins.

This saves sometimes a few seconds, but it can save much more when you add it up at the end of the week, month or year. Find out more about Text Expander.

LastPass

Ever spent five minutes hunting through emails and WhatsApp messages looking for a password? Us too. Or at least, we used to.

With LastPass, all passwords are saved across all devices and automatically updated. It has a quick search function so you can recall passwords, personal or business, with a single click. Privacy is a key factor with LastPass too, so you don’t have to worry about hacks or security issues.

Google Drive

Some of these tips are helpful. But Google Drive is a godsend.

All of your files are in one place. In the cloud, on your desktop or both. You can view files within your browser or have a direct link to your documents on your computer. Pretty cool, eh?

Share documents with clients with ease and even edit files together at the same time. It’s never been easier to keep your workflow fast, and a lot of that is down to Google’s innovations.

Slack

For internal communications, Slack can’t be beaten. Keep your team talking no matter where they are or what device they’re using.

We have our individual chats, team channels and a company-wide channel. There’s integration available with thousands of apps, including the aforementioned Google Drive, and you can send images, files and even random GIFs.

We’ve definitely been guilty of abusing that last one.

Wildix phone system

Our Wildix phone system has helped us all stay in touch, internally and externally, throughout COVID. We are so grateful to have a reliable communications system that boasts features like group calls, call recording, tracking, transferring and integration with your existing address book.

Basically, if you’re still using a standard ‘ol desk phone – it’s probably about time to upgrade.

But yeah – we do Web Design

You probably already knew that. But if you’ve read this far, then maybe you’re interested in learning a little bit more.

Talking about websites, branding, SEO and social media is something we do a lot. And we kinda like it.

We’re always available to chat at [email protected] or on 023 80 000 212.
